The hot hatches of the 2000s

Matthew Janineh published on

Hot hatches have been in the media a ton lately with the latest hyper hatches running amuck with the big boys. The 2000s saw the shift from big displacement engines in little cars to turbo technology in which we see in hot hatches today. This period was the resurgence of the hot hatch. I was joined by Alam and Anthony as we talked about our favourite from the period and why these cars made such an impact on us.

G'day fellow car enthusiasts!I just wanted to give you guys kudos for your mad podcast. My everyday commute is exactly the length of one of your shows and I am now working myself through the older ones.
It's bloody brilliant and for I used to live in Oz, it is nice to keep up with car culture down under.
And as a hot hatch driver myself (Golf GTI MK2 and Ford Fiesta ST180) I loved this one!
Cheers from Berlin and please keep the good work up!Rob

    Hi Rob!
Thanks for listening to our podcast! I really appreciate the feedback and its great to know I am getting a wider audience! You own two very lovely cars! arguably the best of their generation, Golf GTIs usually are but the Fiesta ST is one of the best hot hatches you can buy (if not best), just for pure fun and driving experience. I have driven one and know how good they are!
We do heaps more content on the car culture and aussie cars too here on this podcast!
    Cheers,
    Matty J
