Investing For Eternity Part 1: Time
• We know that there are 24 hours in a day. That’s 1,440 minutes or 86,400 seconds. How much of your time is spent on studying? Sleeping? Eating? What about reading the Bible and praying?
• Everyone has been given equal time each day. It doesn’t matter how good, bad, rich, or popular a person is – we all have 24 hours, 1,440 minutes, or 86,400 seconds in one day. Once you have used the time you have in your hands. It’s already gone. You cannot get it back. God has given you the freedom to manage your time. Do you think you are maximizing it?
• In the 24 hours that we have in a day, there are activities that we cannot avoid or do away with-eating, sleeping, travelling, staying at school or work, and attending to our personal hygiene/grooming. How we choose to spend our remaining time says a lot about what we value and prioritize. It will also greatly affect our lives.
• In order to live a full and abundant life with the Lord, it is vital to put Him first! Relationships need communication for them to grow. Quiet time is the time you spend praying, reflecting, meditating, and reading God’s Word. We cannot grow in our faith if we do not spend our time in His Word, getting to know His character and what He wants us to do. Reading God’s Word and meditating on it is for our own benefit! The Bible guides us, directs us, encourages us, and inspires us.
