Tim Gabbett and Aussie Rules of Performance
This episode features Tim Gabbett who has over twenty years of experience working as an applied sport scientist in Australia with athletes and coaches from a wide range of sports. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Physiology and has completed a second Ph.D. in the Applied Science of Professional Football, with special reference to physical demands, injury prevention, and skill acquisition. Tim has worked with elite international athletes over several Commonwealth and Olympic Games cycles. He continues to work as a sports science and coaching consultant for several high-performance teams around the world. Tim has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and has presented at many national and international conferences. He is committed to performing world-leading research that can be applied in the ‘real world’ to benefit high-performance coaches and athletes. He is also a father and son, and I was honored to have him on the show!
