Meeple Overboard! published on

We finally did it. We finally played the longest, biggest game of our list of games we've wanted to try in our life. Want to hear our thoughts? You came to the right place!  We're also talking about curbing your criticism, and reviewing Welcome To by Deepwater Games. Happy listening!

  • hey! Thanks for your review of Welcome to... Glad that you enjoyed it. ;-)
just to clarify a few things : concerning other "maps", there is another map (20 sheets) included in the "recharge" sheets (along with 100 more regular sheets). They are usually available also at conventions.
As for the "Bis" action (it is the french equivalent of a "23A" house next to a "23" house in american neighborhoods), you don't have to just use it to "correct" mistakes. You should definitely use it to race the City Plans and to finish housing lots before the end of the game. It's often worth it if played well.
As for the name, well, we didn't anticipate such a backlash, but we still like it and it still makes sense to us; sorry... ;-)

  • Hi Beniot! I'm sorry it took me so long to reply. We don't get notifications from comments here, strangely enough, so I was just perusing through and saw your comment. I'm a little embarrassed it took so long! Thank you for taking the time to listen and respond. I hadn't seen the recharge sheets pack, but I also saw the recent Kickstarter with additional maps, which looks great! Good points on the Bis action. Maybe I'll try to use it strategically next time we play. No need to apologize about the name (maybe we were a little more mean sounding than we needed to), it is a fun idea and I totally get it. The best part is being able to name your cities on your map, which I always have fun with. Great design!
Thanks for taking the time to listen,
    Chris Yi
