PODCAST19: 2016 BIG BUDGET MOVIE SEASON = ONGOING DEATH OF CREATIVITY

Donald Tyro published on

As we go on to the last quarter of this year 2016 Donald and Simeon give us a long overdue #Podcast19 on the utter disappointment with the years big budget movie releases so far...

Sadly, the disappointment is not solely with us alone - you can find quite a few articles from reputable movie sites / blogs deeming 2016 being one of the worst years in big budget cinema history in terms of quality and substance film making

Here we ramble on the topic for quite a while on why we feel how we feel but on this occasion we will ALSO point out to you guys one such external article which gets a bit more factual on why this year is so disappointing

ARTICLE - http://screencrush.com/2016-worst-summer-movie-season-ever/

Besides that though, the big budget scene is not the only noteworthy place to find great movies - so just as mentioned in our conversation, you will find below a list of somewhat lesser discussed movies that critics and fans alike have actually hailed as the best 2016 ACTUALLY has to offer that you may have not even heard of due to their independent roots

See guys.. we can be positive too :) - have you seen any of these below GEMS from this year?

Midnight Special
Green Room
Love and Friendship
WEINER
Creative Control
Lights Out
KICKS
Don’t Breathe
Born to Be Blue
Swiss Army Man
Embers
The Lobster
Hell or High Water
The Invitation
THE FITS
Knight of Cups

Thanks for listening and leave your thoughts on anything we said below!!
