Episode 030 | Jen Niffer | Tetris With Airplanes
Welcome to Podcasting on a plane, I’m Brandon Gonzales, and today we’re “Hanging on the airside” with someone you may know. Well, if you’re active at all on social media, Like instagram in particular, you’ll know her photography for sure, that’s right, I’m talking about the always fun, always present, and always writing, the one and only JenNiffer https://talesfromtheterminal.com is here! She’s going to tell us all about what fuels her unwavering passion for anything that flies, and what keeps her motivated to write about it.
But first, I always want to start, by giving some gratitude where it’s due. And I’m of course talking about those who’ve made a contribution to the show, be it through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/podcastingonaplane , or through helping out with content, comments, feedback, whatever. It is all very much appreciated, and I thank you all.
When I was on my trip a few weeks ago, I got a real surprise from a new friend of the show, so before we do anything else, it’s time to give an extra special Shoutout to my man N5449P. He made a very generous donation to the show. He says it gave him something to listen to while he was in Challenger school. Well, Alright glad we could help. And I saw him the other day, out using that Challenger type all right, and it looked like a lot of fun. So, If you’re ever out there and you hear 49P on frequency, make sure to pass along a nice hello from me.
And I want to welcome a new show Patron, you all know this name, It’s Anthony Tamburrini. He’s been on the show twice, and now he’s a patron too. Pretty awesome. He actually came into my airport the other day, and flew a really nice ILS down to a perfect touchdown. I don’t have the audio, but he gave a nice VHF shoutout too, it was pretty fun. https://www.patreon.com/podcastingonaplane
And another community member, This guy…
That’s right, community Member Steven Andress. He sent me an email and connected the dots that he was the mystery Alaska pilot who always says Hi on the way down to Mexico. Pretty cool. And as it turns out, His daughter Stephanie is entertaining the idea of becoming an Air Traffic Controller. So I was happy to put together a facility visit for the two of them and, hopefully they liked what they saw.
And last but not least, Hotel Mike used a new feature called https://www.buymeacoffee.com/BravoGolf . And I’m not sure if it’s the same hotel mike who sent in the feedback from last time, but if so, a pleasant thank you, and I Hope the technique worked for you and please, record a follow up! I’d love to hear about your flight review. Not just the landing part, but all of it!
