The Blues give up a two goal lead to the Maple Leafs, but win in overtime 3-2

Lance Dascotte published on

The Blues came out flying in the first period against the Maple Leafs and were rewarded for their efforts with two goals. Blues forward Jaden Schwartz put the Blues up 1-0 and defensemen Colton Parayko added a late power play goal to round out the scoring in the first period. The Leafs battled in the second period, but Jordan Binnington made several key saves to keep it at 2-0 headed out of the second period. The Leafs would tie the game up in the third on goals by Zach Hyman and Austin Matthews.  Blues forward Ryan O'Reilly didn't waste any time in giving the Blues a win with a goal just thirty four seconds in to the overtime period.
