Gerry Cooney was on the Meath Senior Football 1988 All-Ireland winning team.

Passionate about the GAA, Gerry devoted his time into developing players with his club team, before making a transition into managing club and county teams.

Gerry is currently a selector on the Meath Senior Football team, we talk about the demands on players today, and as an addiction counselor at the Rutland centre, he sees the challenges players face when they hang up their boots.
