This week we're joined once again by automotive industry legend Gale Banks (Facebook) founder of Banks Power. As is usually the case, we take a trip through Gale's storied past this time delving into kiwi jet boat racing, coyote panthers, radio controlled lawnmowers, Burt Monroe's sex life, Freightliners and top fuel drag cars. In addition we discuss the current maladies involving the Z06 overheating issues.
As always, Mr. Banks is a fascinating guest with excellent stories to tell. He also has some great chemistry with everyone and seems to really "get" the atmosphere of the podcast. Great episode.
One of the best TST podcasts I've heard, fascinating guest for sure, I hope the series can attract such highly educated guests such as this in the future, always interesting to hear true engineering car talk.
You were talking about Paul Newman's VW with a small block Chevy in it. In a repower book I had a number of years ago, there was a Porsche 356 with a mid mounted Oldsmobile Tornado complete drivetrain and he did the fake luggage thing. Actually he got some real hard luggage, bolted them together and cut the bottoms out of them to make the engine cover
You missed out a tag for Paul Newman
Here some more crazy jet boat action.
