Hi guys. Great podcast and joe you are the funniest man in the industry, love your answer to the tyre shine problem.
Anyhow I just wanted to provide my own answer to the weatherstripping/trim care question

After you clean them like Jason said, you can do any of these things

Use a deep cleaning paint wax
The one I use from my Chem supplier will remove the whiteness from almost all trim and provide some protection and coloured improvement. Cleaning agent is not a petroleum solvent

Machine polish the trim via da or rotary
Some trim like injected resin and abs can be polished and a very high gloss or mid gloss achieved depending on how Many steps you do
Put some sealant or coating over that and the trim will be set for many years

Coatings - silica coatings are best but the cost of plying them to that dull gray coloured trim on bumpers can be quite expensive due to the trim being on the whole bumper

I'm not quite sold on the two Protectants out now from chris and richard
I also have a trim purifier that removes all whiteness from high ph Soaps and pre oaks going onto the trim from car washes and strips off oxidation and water spots from b pillar plastics real quick.
