Initial Thoughts:

When I first picked up the Charter Oak Maduro by Foundation Cigar Co., I noticed two things. First, I noticed the coarse Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. Second, I saw the un-cut foot, something I don't mind and something that often makes a cigar easier to light.

Brand: Foundation Cigar Co.
Line: Charter Oak Maduro
Size: 6 x 52
Cut: Guillotine
Light: Matches
Price: $5.69

Final Thoughts:

If you're looking for a decent, inexpensive, budget cigar, you're going to love the Charter Oak Maduro by Foundation Cigar Co. This cigar boasts an even burn, a rough-but-well-rolled Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, and decent flavors. While the Charter Oak isn't as good of a cigar as Foundation's higher-end cigars, this particular stick is perfect for beginners, lawn mowers, and people who don't want to spend a lot of money. Because of the good build quality, satisfactory flavors, and rockstar price point, I give the Charter Oak Maduro a CigarScore of 3.
