Drew Estate UNDERCROWN Maduro Gran Toro

Ellory Wells published on

I don't always judge a cigar by its label (actually, yes, I do) but this Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro sure looks like a great cigar. Will it live up to the CigarScore standards? What Score will it earn? let's find out!

How We Score Cigars:

Initial Thoughts:

Drew Estate is a cigar brand I don't know a lot about. However, learning about new cigars and brands is one of the reasons I started CigarScore TV. Today I'm smoking the beautifully marbled Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro Gran Toro. When I first light the cigar, the flavors are quite delicious, but the unacceptably tight draw is making them hard to enjoy.

Final Thoughts:

The burn on the Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro Gran Toro was almost perfect throughout the entire smoke. And, the flavors were pretty good. However, that's where the positive things end and the horror story begins. The absolutely terrible draw killed this cigar. In general, when the draw of a cigar is bad, everything else struggles. And this Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro struggled. Hard. While I would give this cigar another shot (because the flavors (when I could get them) were quite good), I can't justify giving this stick anything other than a CigarScore of 2.
