Listen to the FULL INTERVIEW here:

Aleksandr Dugin is by far the most important and prominent living Russian intellectual. He has been called by some as the "Brain of Vladmir Putin"

In this excerpt, he explains to me how he actually pre-figured the rise of Vladimir Putin with his critique of liberalism, communism and sea power, and advocacy for traditionalism, conservatism, and land power.

This was a fascinating interview with one of the world’s most important thinkers of the 21st century.

Aleksandr Gelyevich Dugin is a philosopher, former Professor and Advisor to the Kremlin, and one of the best-known writers and political commentators in post-Soviet Russia. He is a leading theorist of Eurasianism.

A Soviet dissident in the 1980s, Dugin has authored more than 60 books, among them Foundations of Geopolitics (1997), which has been used as a textbook in the Academy of the General Staff of the Russian military, and The Fourth Political Theory (2009).
