Hawaiian Diving Stories

7. One Less Blainville Beaked Whale

Kendall Roberg published on

Sandy Hammel tells an amazing Story that happened to her while guiding a Kona Hawaii Snorkeling Adventure. She and her guests saw a Blainville Beaked Whale slowly being consumed by sharks. Blainville Beaked Whales are an extremely rare site. Few photographs of these whales even exist.

Sandy takes amazing scuba and free diving pictures and post them on her Instagram @sandyseabottom

Sandy has been working as a dive guide, scuba instructor, and free diving instructor for Kona Honu Divers for many years.
