Werewolf by Dead of Night (2009)
Note: We like our language NSFW salty, and there be spoilers here…
Face Front, True Believer! Illegal Machine, Mister Fixit & Diabolu Frank return to Jack Russell! By which we mean probably at least two-thirds of us forgot that we’d touched on him already on the first Tigra episode, definitely including Frank, who just wanted to blow out a Halloween episode with an easy out of continuity mini-series Fryhole loaned to Fixit loaned (unbidden) to Frank years ago! But don’t fret Real Frantic One, because we all enjoyed a book from a line tailor made for our combination of grossly immature language/subject matter and being a Permanent Marvel Maximus with the “MAX” adult content boutique line! 2009’s Dead of Night featuring Werewolf by Dead, despite featuring a lengthy redundancy in title, is a kick butt four-parter by Duane Swierczynski and Mico Suayan! Plus, we go off into the wilderness to howl at the moon over the Universal Monsters, Frankenstein, Legion of Monsters, Power Records, Monster Squad, werewolf movies in general and The Howling franchise specifically! Plus, the Mighty Marvel Mail Bag! Excelsior!
