Episode 8

Drinks and Dean Corrll

Sam Stein published on

Sam and Dan are back for Episode 8. This time around, the format is a little different. We have a quick intro, then we go to trivia and get a topic there instead of coming with a topic prepared. Yet again, we come in second place at Darwins. The idea of this episode came from the Comedy Central show Drunk History, so Sam talks about the Marine Mammals Exemption, which is an very narrow law limiting the sale of beer in Texas.

Dan decided to have some good Galveston beer or two before talking at length about Dean Corrll, a serial killer active in the Heights that many people don't seem to know about. He killed more than 25 people, and we talk about his life and the different locations he lived at...many of which are close to our neighborhood!

Not much as far as plugs go, Dan mention the tv show New Girl, and Sam mentions Whiskey Cavalier. Also, we're working on something special for the next episode, so be sure to be on the lookout in April.
