Season 2: Community Colleges Serving Today's College Students

Michelle Boettcher published on

Higher education is no longer affordable. 2 year institutions, also known as community colleges or technical colleges, aim to serve diverse student bodies who want an affordable education. This podcast explores who our students are today and their needs. In addition, we discuss the history of 2 year institutions and the direction in which they're continuing to grow. We get to chat with Kerry Cantwell, a staff member at Durham Technical Community College, to gain insight. What can higher education learn from these 2 year schools, who have long held a negative stigma in our society?
