It's Log! (not from Blammo)

Chris Hayes published on

This week we're joined by Nick from VF Engineering makers of absolutely silly supercharger kits. You should be familiar with their work as we've released videos on a few of their cars over the years.  However Matt just got some hands on time with their supercharged Huracan kit and it's more-or-less b@tshit insane. In addition we hit on a bunch of supercharger tech, Nick fills us in on some of their other product offerings and we answer listener questions.

... and yes we talk about the giant log that was being dragged with reckless abandone behind a pickup

Just a correction: The Spyker had the B6 S4 engine with 5 valves per cylinder, not the high revving FSI B7 RS4 valvetrain with 4 valves per cylinder.

I had a clutched pulley on my blitz supercharger on my 07 yaris. it came on based on throttle position via a dial in my center console. there was 4 positions, 25%, 50%, 75% and OFF. 25% was basically ON as the min throttle I could get was about 18%, but id set it to 50% on the highway and be able to cruise at 115kph/70mph and itd only boost when I dipped into the throttle. I easily got almost 40mpg highway making 135whp/130wtq in a 2300lb car. It was great fun.

    I really enjoyed this episode

you can't drag a log down a dirt road. you'll completely destroy the road. and up here in VT they don't exactly fix them often.... you WILL piss someone off
