Hi I'm Chris,

I'm the CEO and founder of ShoutEngine as well as Producer/Co-Host of The Smoking Tire podcast and Producer of The Hooniverse podcast.

I love podcasts, at this point I probably consume more podcasts than any other passive entertainment medium.

I built this site because I needed reliable podcast hosting with good analytics. It has proven tremendously useful for my own purposes and hopefully it will do the same for you.

  Hey man, when you've done thousands of hours on a mic over the years you've got to wander a bit to keep yourself sane and have something fresh to talk about. If you aren't feeling something in the discussion for the week you have the ability to fast forward, I certainly do on a number of shows I listen to. Despite the sponsorships we're not really making any money on the podcast after you factor in all of our expenses so please keep in mind we do this because we enjoy it and like to give the audience something to enjoy for free every week. Bottom line, we're not catering to you alone and if you've got some feedback please don't deliver it like you're barking orders.

  The compression settings are the same, however the codec might have changed with software updates. I'll check into it.

  I've seen that car, its power is impressive but I'm not down with rolling coal. That's just being inefficient for the sake of blowing hydrocarbons into the air. I'll refer to our interview with Mr. Gale Banks on that matter. Otherwise I'm really liking the idea of having a nice diesel daily that makes decent power and gets really good fuel economy.

  Thanks for the suggestion Noah. I've seen some conflicting reports regarding efficacy and long-term reliability when using the JBD but I'll definitely look into it further.

  Noah, believe me I was not happy with the request but it came down to peoples livelihood being on the line. I was VERY vocal about not acquiescing but ultimately I don't want to put an entire group of people's jobs in jeopardy.

  To be fair Vinny has some good points and McLaren has definitely been experiencing growing pains in the US market. He'll be the first to tell you the cars are absolutely amazing. In the real world I don't think too many people are cross shopping McLarens and Lamborghinis. Lambos are loud skittles that you throw into a turn with reckless abandon laughing the whole way while McLaren's are serious machines meant to shave every last millisecond off your round trip to the office.

  I stand by my opinion the STi is in dire need of a power bump. With engineering efforts the emissions problems can be worked out. The CLA45 AMG is a prime example of what can be done when the manufacturer coughs up the R&D money to make things happen. I firmly believe we'll see a new motor in the STi in a couple of years as a mid-cycle refresh.

  You're likely correct, however the question I have lingering is did Sony implement the encoding/streaming ability in the hardware on the console? I bring this up because if it's done in software it could potentially be a bit of a resource hog. In the conversation I had with some of the MS engineers at the launch event here in LA the XBone is pretty resource constrained at the moment to bring additional features into the fold. They are playing very conservatively with doling out more memory and cycles until the platform matures a little more. However the folks I spoke with indicated that as time goes on they are likely to become a bit more liberal with freeing up some of the resources that are currently being kept in reserver; paving way for this kind of second screen experience.
